Maitland Primrose Media directs and manages the Corporation's main asset to date:  the Moving Pictures brand and Moving Pictures magazine (MPM).  MPM celebrated its seventeenth publishing year at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2007 and is a well-known brand within the entertainment industry and festivals circuit.   Moving Pictures magazine is our flagship marketing brand.

As an international voice for independent media, MPM brands itself as the purveyor of good taste — whether it is our magazine, on-line content, filmed interviews, a movie we recommend, a product we sell, or a movie we distribute.  MPM content is carefully evaluated and allows the entertainment consumer to identify with Maitland Primrose Group and Moving Pictures magazine as their filter through today's media barrage. We seriously consider the social impact of every form of media content we produce or distribute.

Moving Pictures magazine is the media platform for the "stories behind the movies" as our cover proudly proclaims.  The Moving Pictures brand began publishing in May 1990.

MPM’s previous owners were Rizzoli Corriere della Sera, Reed Elsevere, Kinowelt of Germany and until September 2003 Viastar Media Corporation of the US.

MPM’s immediate status as one of the most respected international film trade publications was achieved through adherence to a policy of in-depth news, cutting-edge editorials, and daringness to tell it like it is.  These elements of MPM have been maintained throughout the years, regardless of owner, and are now extended to include the film enthusiast.

Moving Picture's unique editorial strategy and compelling visuals create a platform for some of the world's finest filmmakers to openly communicate with their constituency and film viewers.  

The strength of the Moving Pictures brand paved the way for advertising and sponsorship revenues with major consumer advertisers as well as endemic entertainment advertisers. Advertisers can sponsor an event (party, premiere, booth), MPM’s short film contests, DVDs of content to our subscribers, a movie we are distributing, or product placement through direct mail and/or gift bags at events.
