Maitland Primrose Investments Maitland Primrose Investments was an affiliated company that invested in sectors which were considered of strategic importance for the firm. In 2006, it took a significant stake in VNU ahead of the Dutch company’s sale to a syndicate of private equity investors. The purpose of such positioning was to propose a combination between Maitland Primrose’s assets and one of VNU’s subsidiaries which was operating in the same market of Moving Pictures Magazine. The proposal was rebuffed by VNU’s outgoing board. Maitland Primrose Investments is now fully integrated as a division of the Maitland Primrose Group. It seeks investment opportunities such as taking positions in publicly listed companies whose stock the Maitland Primrose Group could elect to take in lieu of cash for advertising and promotional sponsorship in Moving Pictures Magazine. In addition Maitland Primrose Group heavily invests in talents that are making a sensible statement in new artistic production.
